Waiting for Guffman

An unsuccessful choreographer flees the big city to a small town, where he feels his talents will be better appreciated. After one disaster, he gets the job of putting on a show to celebrate the towns' founding. His cast consists of local amateurs, who think they can act. This leads to a lot of the highlights of this comedy. The cast works up to opening night, in the belief that a noted New York critic will be coming to view the show, and possibly take it to Broadway.
