Ian Douglas: At times during this movie, I thought I was watching a rerun of "Girl, Interrupted". Even though it was scripted by the "Erin Brockovich" writer, it is so full of cliches that it loses some credibility. Strange how the Star and The Love Interest / Best Friend are always the only reasonably normal people in these movies. The film does have a message: choose your friends with care, but since this is a very delicate matter, it is very underplayed. Guinevere Whelan: I thoroughly enjoyed this movie - it made me laugh AND gave me a lump in my throat - it rocked!
