The Last September

Set in 1920 in Ireland, at the start of the armed conflict which eventually resulted in the Irish Republic. Ireland at that time was ruled by the Anglo-Irish, a terribly snobbish bunch. One of them, a young woman, popular with the British officers, becomes involved in hiding one of the Irish rebels, leading to the inevitable love triangle, with tragic consequences.

Ian Douglas: Found it terribly dull and left after an hour.
