Monsters, Inc

This latest animated treat is set amongst the world of monsters which every child knows lives under the bed and in the cupboard beneath the stairs. The monsters need to collect Scream Energy from children to power their world. But modern children are so difficult to frighten, and the monsters are facing an energy crisis. Then the unthinkable happens: a little girl finds her way into their world, and needs to be returned to the real world before she completely ruins their society. And so the top-performing monster does his best to conceal and return her, while at the same time trying to expose the evil plans of his competitor.

Marcus Weinreich (42): I found the movie pleasantly refreshing, not quite a kiddies show with some adult love themes and an interesting twist. My only criticisim would be that if the show was aimed at the more mature audience then the animation could have been more like Toy Story's animation, more realistic!

Jaco van der Merwe (32): A delightful, wonderful film for adults and children alike. I saw it a second time just to catch all the clever dialogue and visual jokes again. And the short Pixar snippet before the film starts is a hoot!
