Secret Ballot

This deadpan Iranian comedy takes a look at the arrival of democracy on a desert island off the Iranian coast. Not much happens there. One day, a ballot box parachutes out of the sky, followed soon thereafter by the arrival of an election official. She needs to be driven around the island to collect everyone's vote, and her army driver is not thrilled with his new task, especially since she is a woman... Anyway, as the day progresses and each does their job, they develop a working relationship and new understanding of each other and the changing times.
