This award-winning film takes a look at the life of America's first female serial killer. Set in 1989 and 1990, she was a street hooker who robbed and killed seven men, the first in self defence and the rest to finance her lifestyle with her young female lover. Eventually captured and brought to trial, she was executed a decade later.

Ian Douglas: Charlize gives an outstanding performance, but perhaps the storyline has more interest to women
than to me. In essence it's a girl-meets-girl, as the unloved street prostitute finally finds love where she least
expects it. Driven to support her new lover, and apparently becoming disgusted with men, she develops from someone who
killed in self defence to someone who kills for money and to stay ahead of the law. The love story, however, has nowhere
to go and it becomes a bit tedious. Your mileage may vary :-)
