Planet Terror

Planet Terror
Originally the second half of a double bill with Tarantino's Death Proof, this is a throwback to the cheap horror movies of a bygone era. The plot is standard mutant zombie maneating horror, as a ragged band of survivors band together to take on the toxic hordes. The special effects are quite gory, so skip this if you have a delicate constitution.

99 minutes.
No persons under 16 (Language, Violence).
Action, Comedy, Horror, Sci-Fi.

Not currently showing on the local cinema circuit.

Peter Feldman quote iconExtreme gore and plenty of references to the work of George A Romero are evident here as the bodies pile up and oodles of dark humour flow.

Jamie Russell quote iconIt's just ironic that Rodriguez has spent millions recreating what exploitation filmmakers like Lucio Fulci and John Hayes used to knock out for peanuts. There's a lesson in there somewhere...

quote iconDoesn't quite have the innovative punch it might have had if audiences hadn't been inundated of recent with the living dead.
