Year One
This seriously-chronologically-challenged swords-and-sandles comedy is set in the so-called Year 1, at the dawn of the Neolithic. Our two hapless heroes, a hunter and a gatherer, stumble into Sodom and the pages of the Bible, where they encounter several memorable characters and situations from Genesis. The plot is more a collection of sketches than a coherent storyline, and the critics were less than impressed. Note that the film takes liberties with Biblical stories, so if that will offend you, then give it a miss.

95 minutes.
Mature Accompaniment under 13 (Language, Violence).
Adventure, Comedy.

ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconA highly disjointed affair. It also throws temporal believability out the window, contains crude and potentially offensive material and, worse yet, is awash in comedy material that simply doesn't work.
