Superfire

A Superfire is the world's greatest fire. It has the energy release of an atomic bomb and a mushroom cloud that rises sixty thousand feet. They are rare, mysterious and devastating natural events. The moving edge of the fire moves at a hundred miles an hour, with a dead zone at the centre where the eye of the fire has eaten up the oxygen in the air. When engulfed in this fire, you get trapped in the dead zone, your clothing instantly blackens and falls off, with a wave of blisters passing over the skin and the lungs come to a boil, driving a froth from the mouth.

This story is about fire-fighters, desperately trying to survive such a devastating force. Realising that they'll need a miracle to survive...
