Imagining Argentina

Imagining Argentina An adaptation of Lawrence Thornton's award-winning novel, the story begins in 1976 in Buenos Aires, with dissident journalist Cecilia Rueda (Emma Thompson) kidnapped by the fascist junta to join the ranks of the 30,000 'Disappeared'.

As her bereft husband Carlos (Antonio Banderas) searches in vain, he develops psychic powers. Carlos discovers that by looking into the faces of the families of those arrested he can see the fates of those they love. This helps to reunite many of them with their families except the one he wants to find the most, his wife.

Nearly broken and possessed by horrific visions of his loved ones he cannot reach, Carlos embarks on a quest to save his family and reveal the unimaginable.
