Paradise Road

During World War II, the Japanese interned many woman - from many different countries - in prison camps in Southeast Asia. This is the story of what happened at one of these camps, where the woman formed a choir as the only means of keeping their spirits up and fighting back.
The film has some beautiful music, as well as scenes of violence. It is very much aimed at women. One critic dismissed it as 'Chorus on the River Kwai.'
