Air Force One

Short version: Russian terrorists hijack the American presidential plane, offering to swop the president for their imprisoned leader. Naturally he, being a man of action, does not take this lying down. Back on earth the politicians squabble.
Long version: The critics have not been kind to this film, dismissing it as yet another Die Hard clone. Ford's performance has been praised and written off. While likely to attract the crowds, it does not appear to offer much substance for those seeking more than standard action escapism.
