The Moviesite Fan Club comments
André Mes: Sean Connery is one of my all-time favourites, and I'm a huge fan of Thurman and Fiennes, but I must have missed the point here. After what started off looking very promising, to me, evapourated into a contrived, lackluster story that left me with no feeling for the characters. It played more like an extended TV episode. A disappointing affair from such a talented cast!

Claire Nicole: Very well done.

Shaun Myburg: Where to start explaining this one... well, since I never saw the TV series I feel I cannot criticize this film, however... it was rather disappointing to me. Other than a stand-out performance by Sean Connery and the drop-dead gorgeous figure of Uma Thurman, this movie seemed to be put together by ideas from just about every other spy film. Even a slight Return Of the Jedi rip-off was thrown in (when you see the wasps in the woods, you'll know what I mean). Probably good fun for younger viewers, but I feel olders teens and serious movie goers would be sadly dissapointed.

Bruce Humphrey: Only Sean Connery (he is like vintage wine and just gets better and better as he ages!) saves the quagmire of over-the-top special effects. Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman as Mr & Mrs "James Bond" do their best hurdling set after ridiculous set of special effects. Expect a movie which has NOTHING in common with the original "Avengers" series.

Nigel Rotherham: Having watched most (if not all) the TV episodes and also having the L.P. (a long playing record for those that are of a younger generation) all I can say is that the big screen version lives up to the original in all respects. Witty, outrageous and great sets including classics of the era (Mini, E type, bovver boys etc.). For those with a keen ear you will also note that the 'original Steed' has a role in this movie! All in all, very good entertainment which, is what it's all about. Oh yes, one deviation from the TV series (as noted by my wife) is the romantic relationship... Enjoy!

Andre Swanepoel: Very dissapointing. Original TV series was far superior. Sexual tension which was introduced was quite pathetic.
