Mercury Rising

Another standard actioner from Willis. This time, he is a renegade FBI agent, who takes it upon himself to protect an autistic genius kid who just happened to crack a new 'uncrackable' government code. The government does not take this lightly, and hire a hitman to kill the kid and his parents. Naturally our Bruce saves the day.

Laetitia Loubser: I really enjoyed this movie. I think Bruce did a good job!!!

Nick Soper: I'd heard so many bad reviews from friends who had already seen Mercury Rising, but that didn't stop me from buying my ticket. After all, I AM a huge Bruce Willis fan... However, I have to admit, I was dissappointed with the movie... Both Bruce Willis and his little co-star Miko Hughes did a fine job, but the slow-moving plot just didn't work for me. I was also put off by Alex Baldwin's PC-in-a-briefcase... On the one side were a whole lot of flashing LEDs, obviously serving no purpose whatsoever. Whereas that may have worked in the 70s, I have come to expect more from a movie targeted at the computer-concious audience of the 90s.
