Slam

This movie chronicles the artistic and spiritual odyssey of a small-time marijuana dealer and rapper who faces a lengthy prison sentence after being caught fleeing the scene of a drug-related shooting. Prison turns out to be even more terrifying than what he imagined. He uses his rap poetry to avoid getting beaten up, makes friends with a pretty female teacher, and hitches up with her when he gets out on bail.
