Scary Movie

A complete sendup of the recent crop of teen horror flicks (IKWYD Last Summer, Scream, Blair Witch, etc), played for laughs. We follow a small group of teenagers who are in a similar situation as in IKWYDLS, mixed in with elements from the Scream series, as they try to evade (mostly unsuccessfully) the masked, hooked killer who is stalking them. The plot is deliberately full of holes, so don't expect it to make sense. Do expect the usual mix of tongue-in-cheek horror and lots of laughs.

Ian Douglas: Ja, well, no fine... As a spoof it works okay (and the US box office success agrees). I found the 'funny' Wayans brother more irritating than amusing. The preview audience enjoyed the Blair Witch rip-offs the best, even though it was only one brief scene. The film is unusual in being totally devoid of female nudity while going all the way with male sex organ, including two very gross scenes. For the rest, it should appeal to fans of the teen-horror genre.

Maria Mojalefa 17: The movie is very funny and exciting.

Emile Millward 14: Very good horror movie.

Schalk Sevenster 17: Sure, it has less sharp humour, but they weren't aiming for that. It is constantly hilarious and often vulgar comedy, with no-mercy, non-stop, spoofing of the Scream type teen-horrors. It's not a great classic movie like Gladiator or The Matrix, but it's certainly funny.

Anton Kruger 20: For me this was the best comedy for 2000!
