Get Carter

A remake of the classic British flick of the same name, this time with Stallone in the role Caine played in the original. Our hero, an underground thug, attends his brother's funeral where his suspicions are aroused. Ian Douglas: Stallone plays this one like a cross between Rambo and Rocky as he growls his way through the entire movie. His fans should love it, for me, it was just another by-the-numbers kill-all-the-baddies fightfest. In a way, another triumph of style over substance.
