Blow

In this dramatised look at how the cocaine invasion of America took place, we explore the role played by a small-time dagga smuggler who fell in with the Medellin Cartel in Columbia. Together with a distributor in LA, they taught Americans to use cocaine and became wildy rich in the process. However, when his romances upset the druglords, they sought to cut him out of the picture, and his world soon fell apart. Worth viewing for an understanding of how cocaine got to where it is in American culture.

Ian Douglas: Some overseas critics did not like this, I thought it was pretty good. Its one flaw is not showing how badly cocaine affects the human body, but it does a great job portraying the greed and violence behind the trade.
