S.W.A.T

Loosely based on characters from the 1975 TV series, we pick up the story when the tough S.W.A.T. team leader hand-picks some new talent. After the necessary training and some minor tasks, they get the job of transporting an international arms dealer. Problem is, the dealer made an offer on television: 100 million dollars to anyone who gets him free. And so the stage is set for the action...

Ian Douglas: Although the American critics did not particularly like this, I thought it was okay for the genre. After a slowish start, it maintained a reasonable level of tension, which is what an action thriller needs to do. Reasonable escapist fare if you're not in the mood for a rom-com.
