Young Adam

Set back in the 1950s on a barge which travels between Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland, where a struggling and frustrated young writer takes a job to support himself, working for the couple who own the barge. The film then weaves two plotlines together, the first being the sexual adventures of the writer with his girlfriend (shown in flashbacks), and his affair with his boss's wife. The second concerns the investigation into the death of a young woman who he discovers floating in the water. Note: not suitable for sensitive or prudish viewers.
