The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

C.S. Lewis' famous Narnia series finally gets its first big-screen treatment. Set during the Nazi blitz of London, four brothers and sisters are sent to live in the country. There, they discover a secret world, Narnia, behind a wardrobe. The children find themselves involved in a power struggle for control of Narnia, between a witch and a lion. The film is a strong allegory of the Christ story.

CommentsAn uplifting epic tale of four children who are thrust into a magical world and get involved in a war between good and evil. Violence occurs but it is fantastical — also it is sad and moving in places.
