Pride & Prejudice


Yet another screen version of Jane Austen's classic, which managed to earn four Oscar and six BAFTA nominations. Set in Georgian England, a family is running into financial trouble, which they hope to solve by marrying off one of their daughters to a wealthy young man. Unfortunately his pal spoils that plan, which upsets the heroine of the story, the headstrong sister of the potential bride. However, as time goes by, she and the pal keep bumping into each other, and slowly the animosity is replaced by something else...
