Peter Feldman Sarah Michelle Gellar will never reach the status of an A-list actress with putrid film fare such as The Return
Barry Ronge It is definitely a cut — cruel and bleeding — above most horror movies in this genre.
Alistair Fairweather In the end watching The Return is a little like putting a large puzzle together without the box. Sure, it passes the time, but by the time you get halfway through you can already see what it is, and it isn't very inspiring.
Jamie Russell Sarah Michelle Gellar shudders, runs and occasionally looks vaguely concerned in The Return, a feckless, fright-less ghost story that might have benefited from a different star.
Regardless of how the trailer folks might have otherwise been able to make the film's previews appear, this is arguably one of the most boring entries of its genre, certainly of this year, and possibly of all time.
Tomatometer It's never okay for Horror to be this boring.
