The Return

The Return
Buffy plays a young woman doing sales work for a trucking company, which means she gets to travel around a lot. Since she was about eleven years old, she has been plagued by disturbing dreams and visions about a murder. She finally decides that enough is enough and travels back to her home town in Texas to investigate, where she meets a mysterious outsider who seems to be connected to her visions. It slowly dawns on her that the murder she is trying to solve is her own...

The Citizen
Peter Feldman quote iconSarah Michelle Gellar will never reach the status of an A-list actress with putrid film fare such as The Return
8
Sunday Times
Barry Ronge quote iconIt is definitely a cut — cruel and bleeding — above most horror movies in this genre.
10
24.com
Alistair Fairweather quote iconIn the end watching The Return is a little like putting a large puzzle together without the box. Sure, it passes the time, but by the time you get halfway through you can already see what it is, and it isn't very inspiring.
5
BBC
Jamie Russell quote iconSarah Michelle Gellar shudders, runs and occasionally looks vaguely concerned in The Return, a feckless, fright-less ghost story that might have benefited from a different star.
5
ScreenIt
quote iconRegardless of how the trailer folks might have otherwise been able to make the film's previews appear, this is arguably one of the most boring entries of its genre, certainly of this year, and possibly of all time.
