Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution

Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution
Allegedly based on a true story, this British comedy is set back in the 1960s, at the height of the cold war. A father, with communistic idealism, decides to move his family from the comfort of their English existence to East Germany. Once there however, his wife and two daughters realise that maybe life behind the iron curtain is not as great as dad said it would be. Mom sets about devising an exit strategy, but getting out is a lot more difficult than getting in. Throw in the secret police and a betraying daughter, and mom has her work cut out getting out.
