Igor

All men are not created evil.

Igor
This animated movie is made in the dark style of a Tim Burton movie. It is set in the future, after strange weather has devastated the planet, and the inhabitants of a country struggle to survive. They have a unique way of making money: they invent weapons of mass destruction, and then demand payment from other countries to not use them. Our hero, Igor, is a hunchback. Although very smart, his hunch has relegated him to being a scientist's assistant. When his boss dies, he sees a chance to become famous by pretending to be his boss. However, his invention, meant to be fearsome, instead turns out as a young starlet. While he tries to fix this mistake, the main evil scientist tries to get their hands on the starlet to use her to overthrow the king.

Annette Bayne quote iconIt would seem that they had more fun weaving referential humour and dark innuendo into the material than actually writing a solid script.

C. Fuchs quote iconWhile it clearly doesn't deserve the torch and pitchfork treatment, Igor could and should have been put together better than it has been here.

Tomatometer quote iconWith an animation style that apes Tim Burton, and a slew of cultural references that aren't clear enough to reach the crowds, Igor's patched together antics make it hard to see who the film is trying to please.
