Fast & Furious

New Model. Original Parts.

Fast & Furious
This series just keeps going.... however as the two sequels did not do as well as the original, they've brought the original stars back for more of the same. The plot, for what it's worth, finds the good cop and the good baddie teaming up to act as undercover drivers for a drug cartel. The cartel is also responsible for killing the cop's sister (and other one's girlfriend) so they have a personal and professional reason for nailing the drug smugglers. Expect plenty of car action and lame dialogue.

Nils van der Linden quote iconFast and furious? More like formulaic and forgettable.
8
The Citizen
Peter Feldman quote iconSharp edits and outstanding stunt work keep the story flowing and though an attempt is made to develop the characters and their relationships, the stiffness of the acting, especially from an emotionless Diesel, remains a telling factor in the credibility department.

John P. McCarthy quote iconWhile the choicest parts come early on, there’s enough left over to help ensure the movie will make a ton of dough.

Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconFast & Furious is exactly and precisely what you'd expect. Nothing more, unfortunately. You get your cars that are fast and your characters that are furious. You should. They know how to make these movies by now.

ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconThe decent to over-edited and over-directed car race & chase sequences are surrounded by increasingly boring drama and melodrama.

Tomatometer quote iconWhile Fast and Furious features the requisite action and stunts, the filmmakers have failed to provide a competent story or compelling characters.
