Mark Keizer quote iconHalf romcom, half caper, mostly mediocre
8
Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconDuplicity is entertaining, but the complexities of its plot keep it from being really involving.
15
eye Weekly
Jason Anderson quote iconA lighter variation on the espionage thrillers that writer-director Tony Gilroy has made his forte with Michael Clayton and the Bourne movies he scripted, Duplicity has plenty of snap and crackle but not quite enough pop.
10
Rolling Stone
Peter Travers quote iconGiven the assault of devilishly clever plot twists that buzz-bomb your brain like a two-hour binge of quad-shot lattes, Duplicity goes down as too smart for its own good.
13
ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconOverall, it's a decent offering, and it's always good to see something aimed at those looking for something beyond juvenile cinematic offerings. I only wish the chemistry had been hotter and the plot filled with more twists, switchbacks and such.
