He was given an offer he couldn't refuse...

After some trouble in Mexico, an ex-law-enforcement official moves across the border to Arizona, and works as a labourer. He is hired to knock off a politician campaigning against Mexican immigrants, but is doublecrossed and finds himself on the run. Desperate to clear his name and see justice done, he recruits three talented ladies and other illegal aliens, and sets about righting what he sees as wrong. Expect plenty of violence and gore, with some nudity.

ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconProving it's far easier to make a skit (or faux movie trailer in this case) than a full-length offering of the same, Machete has its moments, but it doesn't manage to be a cut above the rest of its ilk.

Tomatometer quote iconMachete is messy, violent, shallow, and tasteless -- and that's precisely the point of one of the summer's most cartoonishly enjoyable films.
