The Green Hornet (3D)

The Green Hornet (3D)
Seth Rogen reinvents the superhero movie as a bumbling sidekick comedy. A spoilt rich young brat inherits his father's empire and sets about finding things to do with his excessive wealth. He teams up with dad's driver to create a pair of baddies, intending to get close to the city's underworld. The underworld does not like the idea and bands together to eliminate the pair. Much comic mayhem ensues. This film has not been nominated for any awards, ever. It is releasing in 2D and (converted) 3D, this is the 3D version.

Chicago Sunday Times
Roger Ebert quote iconThe Green Hornet is an almost unendurable demonstration of a movie with nothing to be about.
5
eye Weekly
Jason Anderson quote iconLord knows 2011 will yield worse superhero movies, but it takes a lot to love this one.
5
ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconThe finished product that has a few decent moments, but otherwise relies too much on slapstick, stylized violence and tacked-on 3D to try to cover for its various deficiencies.

Tomatometer quote iconIt's sporadically entertaining, but The Green Hornet never approaches the surreal heights suggested by a Michel Gondry/Seth Rogen collaboration.
