Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

President by day. Hunter by night.

Based on a novel with the same name, this film takes a very revisionist look at one of America's favourite presidents. After losing his mother to a vampire, young Abe swears to spend the rest of his life fighting them. Luckily for him he meets a man able to teach him how to kill them, and spends the first half of the movie in kill mode. As he progresses politically, the storyline introduces the concept that Southern slave owners were vampires who kept slaves as cheap prey for their blood lust, and getting rid of that was the real reason for the American civil war. Generally the critics were underwhelmed, and suggest you may want to catch the 2D version rather than the 3D version of this film. This is the 2D version.
