Behind the Candelabra

Too much of a good thing is wonderful

Behind the Candelabra
Originally made for television, this film has found critical and commercial success on the big screen. It takes a look at the private life of the reknowned and flamboyant pianist, Liberace. His name was synonymous with showmanship, extravagance and candelabras. During his 40-year career, he lived lavishly and embraced a lifestyle of excess both on and off stage. In summer 1977, handsome young stranger walked into his dressing room and, despite their age difference and seemingly different worlds, the two embarked on a secretive five-year love affair.
