Comments | One of the paralent [sic. prominent?] themes contained in the movie is that of heraism [sic. heroism?]. Keller is a tragic hero, in that he opts to take the law into his own hands after being frustrated by the slow progress in the investigation of his lost daughter. Unfortunately he kidnaps and beats Alex to a pulp who it turns out is a victim himself. He is tenacious, patient and more importantly, reasoned, consequently he saves the lives of the two girls. |

ScreenIt C. Fuchs While I would have preferred a slightly trimmed-down running time (it clocks in at a bit more than two and a half hours), I was never bored, and despite the familiar plot, I was intrigued and invested in the characters from start to finish. Thank goodness the film is far more than the boilerplate offering the commercials and trailers advertised. In this case, the end result is so much more than the cover. | 15 | |
