Riddick

Rule the Dark

Riddick
The third in the series goes back to its roots, after the disappointing second episode. Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Activating an emergency beacon alerts two ships: one carrying a new breed of mercenary, the other captained by a man from Riddick's past. What starts out as a game of survival for Riddick against the mercs turns into something more desperate when they have to band together against the local wildlife. Dinner will be served shortly.

What the Critics say

Cape Argus / The Star
Stephanie Merrie quote iconViolent but fun cat-and-mouse game.

ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconI found Riddick surprisingly good at the onset but with diminishing returns as it then plodded through familiar territory and a far too long, two hour running time.

Tomatometer quote iconIt may not win the franchise many new converts, but this back-to-basics outing brings Riddick fans more of the brooding sci-fi action they've come to expect.
