The Wolf of Wall Street

The Wolf of Wall Street
Set during the 1980s at a time of stock market turmoil, and based on a true story. A young man starts his career in the stockbroking business just as the market crashes. He switches to selling junk penny stocks, and when that goes well, he opens his own pompously-named firm with a friend, and hires drug dealers to employ hard-sell telephone tactics to move the stocks. Business boomed, as did his extravagent lifestyle, which attracted the attention of the Feds. His life became a game of staying one step ahead... but how long could that last? Viewers are advised to note the running time, as well as the fact that this film set a new record for the number of uses of the ''F-word'' along with many other expletives. At the time of writing it is listed at number 67 on the IMDB's list of All-time Top 250 movies.

C. Fuchs quote iconhile I'm sure it will have supporters proclaiming it to be the next great film, I only found it good and wished it were 30 to 40 minutes shorter and thus more to the point.
