What the Critics say
|Cape Argus / The Star|
Paul Eksteen Voracious sexual appetite still unchecked
James Berardinelli A clear case of a narrative running out of steam. Exhaustingly repetitive, this movie attempts many of the same things its predecessor did but with less success.
Tomatometer It doesn't quite live up to the promise of the first installment, but Nymphomaniac: Volume II still benefits from Lars von Trier's singular craft and vision, as well as a bravura performance from Charlotte Gainsbourg.
