Jolie and the Coen brothers teamed up to make this, based on a true story. It is a chronicle of the life of Louis 'Louie' Zamperini, an Olympic runner who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in World War II. They were then rescued, unfortunately by the Japanese Navy, who sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
