What the Critics say

Cape Times
Stephen Farber quote iconRoot for the underdogs.
10
ReelViews
James Berardinelli quote iconIt has heart and is inspirational and, although those may be corny admissions, this is Disney and the film works as solid family entertainment.
15
ScreenIt
C. Fuchs quote iconWhile there's really not much new here -- aside from playing in a sport that rarely gets the time of day in Hollywood -- McFarland, USA hits enough of a decent stride to go the distance and deliver enough of a winning edge.
