What the Critics say

ReelViews
James Berardinelli quote iconAlthough perhaps not as edgy as Mean Girls (and certainly nowhere close to Heathers territory), the movie has enough to offer that one doesn't have to be a teenage girl to enjoy the journey.

Rottentomatoes tomatometer
Tomatometer quote iconThe DUFF doesn't achieve teen-movie greatness, but offers enough of a postmodern twist on the genre to recommend -- and boasts typically great work from star Mae Whitman.
