The reboot of the Tomb Raider series introduces Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, she is scraping by as a part-time student. Although offered control of her father’s empire, she believes he is still alive and sets off to find him, hopefully near a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. She’s about to have the adventure of her life. The film was partly shot in Cape Town and the Western Cape. This film is releasing in 2D, 3D, 3D IMAX and 4DX. This is the 3D IMAX version.
