CommentsThe film is an entertaining comedy and tells the story of a cell phone software that control a guy's life to make his life better, but “she” falls in love with him and nearly wrecks his life. The themes are mature and complex and of an adult nature, which could be distressing and morally misleading to children.

What the Critics say

24.com
Bashiera Parker quote iconAll in all, this was a below-average film, and while there may have been some sort of message in there about how we’ve become a tech-obsessed society, ironically, I would much rather have had my weekly report say I upped my screen time for the day by 1 hour and 24 minutes because Jexi could do with several bug fixes and improvements – perhaps a full software update.
2
RSG
Leon van Nierop quote iconAdam Devine se spel red die bietjie wat daar te redde is, maar dis 90 minute wat ek nooit weer sal terugkry nie.

Tomatometer quote iconIt’s hard to tell whether the lack of laughs in Jexi is a bug or a feature, but this AI rom-com is sorely in need of an OS update.
2
CommonSenseMedia
Sandie Angulo Chen quote iconUnderwhelming raunchy comedy has tons of language, sex talk.
