Megan Turner's day started out like any other. Running late again, the successful film producer and her director husband, David, were in a hurry to get their children to school when they were flagged down by Constable Arch Whitelaw.There was nothing in particular unusual about the incident except for Whitelaw's excessive friendliness, especially towards Megan. Whitelaw engages the help of his girlfriend, Josie Newman, also a police officer, to tap into the department's computer, where he learns all he needs to know about Megan Turner.
That night, courtesy of internet he finds out even more - and the information becomes the seed of a dangerous obsession. Almost immediately, Whitelaw begins a campaign of sexual pursuit and intimidation from which Megan cannot escape. Keeping the truth from David to avoid upsetting him, Megan tries forcing the cop to leave her alone, but he refuses.
When the stalker becomes more than she can bear, Megan begins to fight with a vengeance Arch Whitelaw could never have suspected.
