Former college professor William Conroy (Rob Lowe) is a convict serving time for vehicular manslaughter.He discovers some suspicious doings at the prison when a fellow inmate tells him that fourteen inmates have died over the past two years -- then turns up dead the next day. When the van carrying Conroy to his parole hearing crashes, he flees the accident site and sets out to uncover the conspiracy.
