Everybody Famous

Everybody Famous An hilarious cultural satire that explores the way society manufactures, hails and dismisses its often unoriginal pop creations!

Jean Vereecken is a laid-off factory worker who has aspirations to transform his plain and heavy-set teenage daughter Marva into a star through his self-composed, ill-conceived pop songs. After an accidental encounter with the famous sexy singer ''Debbie'' and in a moment of sheer despair, he decides to kidnap the artist and use her as a ransom in return for her manager Micheal to provide assistance in making Marva a star.

To Micheal's joy, Debbie's disappearance creates shock waves throughout the country, with television stations broadcasting developments in the story day and night, and her record sales skyrocketing to unprecedented levels.

After the public becomes bored of the saga, Michael must find a way of making everybody happy. Marva needs to become a star, Jean has to score his first hit, but most of all the public must get what it is demanding: a bloodcurdling finale...
