Desmond Caine (Stephen Baldwin) has an unusual sleeping disorder that causes him to wander the streets in a state of dreamlike insomnia. Nearly in a trance late one night, Desmond stumbles upon a murder in process. He witnesses the grizzly affair and rushes to report the incident.The unusual circumstances under which he sees the murder makes Desmond the lead suspect.
