William Forsythe (Virtuosity), Lolita Davidovich (Intersection) and Colm Meaney (The Snapper) star in this offbeat, suspense-driven road adventure that's filled with surprising twists and turns.Teenaged Simon (Kevin Zegers) appears to be leading a typical suburban existence. But Simon's home life is anything but typical. His father, Milton (Forsythe) is a big-hearted but luckless thief hoping to make one big score by robbing a local bank. To do that, he'll need the help of his son. But when a shootout erupts at the scene of the crime, Simon finds himself on the run with a bag of stolen loot. Hitchhiking out of town, Simon is picked up by Crystal (Davidovich), a gorgeous, free-spirited older woman.
Together, they embark on a rollicking, cross-country odyssey -- while trying to stay one step ahead of Milton's vengeful ex-partner (Meaney) and Crystal's jealous husband. For Simon, it will be the trip of a lifetime... if he lives to remember it.
