Imagine a world where the showering of tears to calm the soul is no different from the rain that nutures the soil. ''MAX and MONA'' is a cool black comedy about a village boy (MAX BUA) with extraordinary mourning skills, who journeys to a daunting city to become a ''white doctor''. But his riff-raff uncle, NORMAN, a ''RAZOR'' sharp gangster, a transvestite mortician, a beautiful girl, and a sacred sacrificial goat (MONA), ensure that he receives a baptism of fire.
