When LAUREN KESSLER (Barbara Niven) and her father STAN (Daniel J. Travanti), a retired prosecutor, move to Philadelphia to start a new life, they think they've found the perfect house in the perfect neighbourhood.But they soon realise that nothing could be further from the truth...
They discover that the property's former owner, Garrett, was brutally murdered in the guest house, and the man's wife, Amanda, went to prison for killing him. Lauren's shocked by the news, but Stan, his lawyerly instincts taking over, becomes intrigued with the case.
Meanwhile, their neighbour across the street, RYAN (Gary Hudson), an attractive widower, begins to take an interest in the divorced Lauren. On the surface, Ryan seems like an amazing guy... smart, attractive, charming... But what Laurens mistakes as a flattering interest is really a deadly obsession.
