The Sea Inside

This highly-rated and Oscar-nominated film takes a look at the sensitive issue of euthanasia and assisted suicide. It is loosely based on the true story of a Spanish sailor who became paralysed from the neck down after a diving accident. He wanted to end his life so that he could escape from his useless body. The government refused him that right, setting off a long legal battle between him and them.
