The Devil's Double
Based on a true story, and set back in the 1980s at the height of Saddam Hussein's power in Iraq. His son decides to get a double for use in high-risk situations, and calls an old school friend who happens to look a lot like him. The friend gets a take-it-or-die offer and reluctantly becomes the double for the reckless, sadistic party-boy with a rabid hunger for sex and brutality. But nothing could have prepared him for the horror of the Black Prince's psychotic, drug-addled life of fast cars, easy women and impulsive violence. Things get complicated when the double gets involved with the prince's girlfriend...

C. Fuchs quote iconDespite all of that and the thematic element of the good character's moral conflict, the story progressively ends up feeling repetitive and thus nowhere as engaging, horrifying and/or captivating as it easily could and should have.
