A team of cadets, pulled from the LAPD Police Academy, form a secret undercover Narcotics Unit in Venice Beach, California. The team is given a plush beach house and a line of luxury cars — everything they need to fit in. Or so they thought.The Boardwalk along Venice Beach, California, is under fire. The hotspot famous for tourism and its electric way of life is being threatened by two rival gangs. The Surfers on the Northside are fighting with the Hispanic gang on the Southside.
Each gang is battling for the lucrative drug trade that is Venice Boardwalk. Growing strong and more violent by the day, traditional law enforcement has been powerless to stop the gangs' violence.
Working with the Mayor of Los Angeles, the Venice Police Department assembles the best and the brightest, fresh out of the Academy, to form an elite undercover narcotics unit. Within the first few months, the impact of the unit is immediately felt as high profile busts and dealers are put away. Just as the team seems to be getting a handle on things, their world falls apart as it appears that someone is working against them, knowing their every move.
When the gang war claims the life of their team leader, the undercover unit has to put aside their emotions to solve the case. Working without the comfort and security of a badge, the team has only 48 hours to solve the case or face unit suspension.
